Brian Davis

Brian is a senior technical expert (non-resident) to the CSIS China Power Project. He also serves as a senior fellow with the Center for Naval Analyses, as an adjunct senior fellow with the Pacific Forum, and as a senior advisor with BluePath Labs. Brian spent the majority of his 35-year Army career focused primarily on China and Indo-Pacific security affairs. This included assignments in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as senior country director for China, Taiwan, and Mongolia, as well as multiple diplomatic assignments at U.S. embassies in Beijing and Bangkok and the American Institute in Taiwan. His final military assignment was as the director of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s China Strategic Focus Group.
