The unveiling ceremony of the wheelchair produced by Firooz Hygienic Group and Tavana Association was held in attendance the members of the board of directors of the National Network of Non-Governmental Organizations for the Physically Handicapped.
According to Peyk-e Tavana; The CEO of Firooz Hygienic Group and the founder of Tavana Association, considered the social responsibly of his association as production justification of this product and said: "This wheelchair corresponding the best foreign samples and it is based on modern technical knowledge that produced by Firooz Engineers Group.
Seyed Mohammad Mousavi added: "Providing rehabilitation equipment for people with disabilities has high costs and indeed, most of disabled people, especially in currently difficult conditions, are not able to purchase the high quality products, and this issue has increased our responsibility to produce the wheelchair."
According to the head of the board of directors of the National Network of Organizations for the Physically Handicapped, the price of import rehabilitation equipment is so expensive and it is out of financial ability of the disabled persons; and, unfortunately, domestic products have no required qualities and then they increase the severity of disability or even development of secondary disabilities in individuals.
Referring to approved quality of the produced wheelchair, Mousavi added: "The required infrastructure for production of this wheelchair is currently available and there are no technical problems in producing this product; and currently it is produced in limited and pilot extent, and we are determined to deliver the final product to domestic consumers at lowest price after passing the initial testing process.
This activist announced his happiness towards achievement of the one-year efforts of his organization in producing the portable and high quality wheelchair, and appreciated the managers and employees of his organization having the divine world-view as well as considering themselves as servants of the disabled persons. This activist said these people have forgotten their desires in achievement of this goal.

Wheelchair production is considered as a big step in improving the quality of rehabilitation equipment

At the opening ceremony, the technical director for the special wheelchair workshop also considered the production of this product as a big step in improving the quality of rehabilitation equipment needed for the disabled persons and said: "This action is important and so valuable in the current situations of severe economic problems and sanctions.”
Explaining the technical specifications of the produced wheelchair, he added: "This wheelchair is derived from the German sample, and it has the features such as height adjustment, wheels and handles removing, and etc. and it weights only 16 kg, which is so portable and practical for the disabled persons."
It is worth mentioning that, the approach of the managers of Firooz Hygienic Group and Tavana Association has been based on empowering the disabled persons, and currently more than 700 people with disabilities including physical-motor disabilities, blind and deaf work in two centers.
