Evelyn Hunter is the H. Andrew Schwartz Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). In this role, she supports traditional communications and multimedia projects across the Office of External Relations. Previously, she was a National Security and Innovation Fellow at Pallas Advisors and a communications intern at the Nuclear Threat Initiative in Washington, D.C. Evelyn graduated with honors from the University of Georgia with a BA in international affairs and political science and a minor in international human rights and security.

The H. Andrew Schwartz Memorial Fellowship was established to honor CSIS’s longtime chief communications officer, whose passion and creativity transformed how think tanks engage the world. Andrew’s professional expertise lay at the nexus of national security policy and communications, but his true calling was mentoring young professionals and helping them gain a foothold in Washington. The fellowship carries forward that spirit by creating a pathway for early-career professionals to contribute to one of Washington’s most innovative communications teams while receiving mentorship from CSIS scholars.
