Harris Diamond is the retired chairman and CEO of McCann Worldgroup, a global marketing and communications company with operations in over 100 countries. Under his leadership, McCann was recognized as one of the world’s most creatively effective and innovative agency networks, partnering with leading global brands and institutions. In addition to his corporate leadership, Harris has advised the U.S. government on national security matters, serving on the external advisory board of the Central Intelligence Agency, appointed by two directors. He continues to speak to various agencies across the intelligence and national security communities. He also served for many years on the board of trustees and executive committee of Business Executives for National Security (BENS). He has been named Advertising Age’s Executive of the Year, The Holmes Report’s PR Agency Executive of the Decade, and is recognized by PR Week as one of the most influential communicators of the past two decades. Harris is actively involved in civic and nonprofit leadership. He is chairman emeritus of the Ronald McDonald House of New York, serves on the advisory board of Columbia University Medical Center, and is a board member of New York City Center. He is also president of Temple Emanu-El of New York City, a leading Reform synagogue. He has served on the boards of several public companies and held leadership roles in industry organizations, including as chairman of the Council of Public Relations Firms and board member of the U.S. Ad Council.
