Hilary Bones (Moffett) is the managing partner of Peak Strategy, a full service consultancy provider with specializations in external affairs, government advocacy, and corporate risk management. Hilary has 20 years of experience as a policy staffer, legislative and regulatory advocate, corporate strategist, and convener, with direct job experience in both political parties, in both chambers of Congress, and across industry. She served as vice president at Fortescue, a $55 billion mining, energy, and technology company based in Perth, Australia. There, she ran the external affairs division for North America. Previously, Hilary served as vice president of government affairs at Occidental Petroleum Corporation, one of the largest oil and gas producers in the United States. There, she managed the company’s policy portfolio for the oil and gas business, including the low carbon and sustainability goals, offshore assets, and OxyChem, a leading manufacturing of basic chemicals and vinyls. She also spent several years on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., serving as majority counsel on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee and legislative director to Congressman Dan Boren from Oklahoma. Hilary earned a Bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
