Japan
As one of the world’s largest economies and a major U.S. security ally in the Indo-Pacific, Japan plays an important role in maintaining global prosperity and stability. Japan actively engages in regional and international frameworks to address challenges and promote cooperation on issues such as trade, technology, infrastructure, energy, maritime security, cybersecurity, governance, sustainability, and transnational crime. CSIS scholars explore these frameworks and recommend opportunities for further collaboration.
