Nina Prieur is director of strategic communications at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she leads communications strategies that deepen the Center’s impact and broaden its reach. As deputy to the chief communications officer, she develops campaigns and drives media engagement to inform policymakers and the public on critical global issues. Prieur previously served as managing director of communications at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, overseeing press engagement, digital media, and editorial content. As director of strategic communications for the White House’s Prosper Africa initiative, she worked across 17 federal agencies to advance trade and investment between the United States and African countries. Earlier in her career, Prieur was a professor at Georgetown University and Duke University, specializing in bridging research and public impact. She holds a PhD in performance studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS from the School of Communication at Northwestern University.
