As director of the Hess Center for New Frontiers at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, he serves as a strategic adviser to leadership teams across business, civil society, and government, helping them stress-test strategies and build long-term resilience against future global operating environments. A specialist in strategic foresight and scenario planning, Eric leads high-impact executive programs that embed futures methodologies into enterprise risk management. His work focuses on translating global megatrends into actionable insights for the C-suite, ensuring organizations move from reacting to crises to anticipating them. Eric’s expertise is built on a career spanning leadership development, strategic planning, and international relations, with prior roles at the Brookings Institution and Argonne National Laboratory’s Computation Institute. He holds an MA from the University of Chicago and is a graduate of the Oxford Scenarios Programme at Saïd Business School. He received his BA from Trinity University in Texas.
