A celebration was organized by Disability Association of Tavana (DAT) at Yadegare_Imam (peace be upon him) Stadium of Alvand city of Qazvin on December 04, 2018 to honor the International Day of Disabled People.

This gathering was held on the occasion of honoring the International Day of Disabled Persons by efforts of DAT Branch in Alvand city, and in collaboration with Board of Disabled of Qazvin province and Alborz City as well as Alborz City Sports Board at the Yadegare_Imam (peace be upon him) Stadium.

The gathering was held by presence of 400 members of the DAT, more than a hundred athletes with disabilities, the Imam of Friday Prayer, the mayor, the chairman and members of the City Council of Alvand and a number of Alvand city officials.

Athletes with disabilities competed in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair racing, dart and volleyball fields. Children with disabilities also competed in fields of tug of war, jumping and wheelchair in order to show their interaction and abilities.

DAT Managing Director, Mohammad Reza Hadipour, congratulated the International Day of People with Disabilities and said: “Sport is a special occasion in empowering people with disabilities and their entering into the community, and he continued our focus is on developing the infrastructure of sport in order to enter these people to sports seriously.
