Seyed Mohammad Mousavi, head of the Disability Association of Tavana (DAT), said on Thursday, November 2nd, 2017, that disabled people should know that if they had been waiting for the state and government officials
Seyed Mohammad Mousavi, head of the Disability Association of
Tavana (DAT), said on Thursday, November 2nd, 2017, that disabled people should
know that if they had been waiting for the state and government officials to
expose them to fundamental developments in their lives, they would have never
been able to achieve all these accomplishments and find out their current
enhanced status, Mehr News Agency reported.
Speaking in the First Conference on Training and Capacity Building among
Teachers of First Grade Students of Qazvin, the DAT chief added: “We should
also endeavor to remove the obstacles that prevent our kids from education.”
“We should accept that oil is no longer our national capital; rather, the kids,
children, and young adults should be considered as invaluable assets for
constructing the future of the country and due importance should be attached to
them,” he continued.
Elsewhere in his remark, Mousavi pointed out: “For all of us, the first year of
school is one of the everlasting memories that can never be forgotten.
Therefore, we should do our best to employ the most excellent teachers for
students who are in grade 1 so that they become interested in school and
continue their education with further motivations in upcoming years.”
Disabled individuals can
be good advisors to managers
The DAT founder said: “We did not allow the disabled individuals to be beggars
in Qazvin Province. We established a production plant that some 92 percent of
its staffs are disabled people. In terms of industrial production, we were
actually able to provide a practical example for industrialists and producers
and prove that disabled individuals enjoy extensive potentials and nurture
valuable economic ideas.”
Referring to fact that primary school teachers are actually formulating the
scientific foundation of the society, Mousavi pointed out: “We should attach
great importance to primary school teachers and respect them in the society.”
“The Disability Association of Tavana (DAT) in Qazvin Province is fully
prepared to cooperate with the Education Department to support studious primary
school teachers in order to implement new teaching methodologies for capacity
building among disabled students,” Mousavi observed. The DAT head argued that
it is probably true that disabled people are suffering from some shortcomings
and defects; however, they have plenty of time to think and, therefore, they
can be considered as efficient advisors and capable researchers in supporting
the government decision-makers.
“According to an agreement between DAT and Education Department of Qazvin
Province, educational and specialized courses have been scheduled for enhancing
the scientific basis of Grade 1 primary school teachers so that further
attention is paid to students with special needs in this province,” Moisavi
concluded.
