DAT hosts representatives of the United Nations on the occasion of International Women’s Day

On 10th of March 2015 and following the occasion of International Women’s Day (8 March 2015), the DAT organized a ceremony in line with the UN goals of peace and friendship and hosted Maria Dotsenko and Mohammad Moqaddam, two representatives of the United Nations, according to International Relations of DAT.


On 10th of March 2015 and following the occasion of International Women’s Day (8 March 2015), the DAT organized a ceremony in line with the UN goals of peace and friendship and hosted Maria Dotsenko and Mohammad Moqaddam, two representatives of the United Nations, according to International Relations of DAT.

Some parts of people participated in the ceremony including some mothers who have children with disabilities, some students with disabilities, some local officials and managers of DAT and so the day was commemorated.

It should be said that necessary preparations to organize the ceremony had been executed by mothers of DAT member. On the occasion of the International Day of Women was provided an agreement by Mothers in which they admitted to do the best in development of their children. DAT honored mothers.

Ceremony was begun by reciting the holy Quran and then announcer, Fateme Taqavi’s welcomed the guests. By a 7 minute clip on introducing DAT in English language, the ceremony was continued through lecture of Hojatolla Yousefi, Vice Chairman of board of directors of DAT, about ability of Iranian women specially women with disabilities and active participation of mothers with disabled children.

It should be said that in this ceremony Dotsenko and Moqaddam, representatives of the UN read the UN Secretary General`s Message on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Then five active women with disabilities were rewarded. Then Shahla Ataiea, a member of city council of Qazvin, stated about the created platforms in participation of women and their abilities.

Finally, Dotsenko and Moqaddam visited handicrafts of women with disabilities and visited Qajar bathroom, the historic place accompanying with a group of managers of DAT.

Dotsenko expressed her happiness and thanked active activities of DAT and women with disabilities who do the best in development of their children and then she called for continued cooperation of DAT with the United Nations.
