On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day and concurrent with the 19th Festival of Top Students, a ceremony was held in the Disability Association of Tavana (DAT) in Qazvin in August 16th, 2017, according to Public Relations and International Relations of DAT.

concurrent with the 19th Festival of Top Students, a ceremony was held in the
Disability Association of Tavana (DAT) in Qazvin in August 16th, 2017,
according to Public Relations and International Relations of DAT.
Some 1000 students and their families, Director
General of Culture and Islamic Guidance Bureau of Qazvin Province, members of
the DAT Board of Directors, and a group of the DAT personnel participated in
this ceremony which was held in the DAT Conference Hall.
Reading songs, performing theaters, rewarding
the successful disabled couples, etc. were part of the programs that had been
scheduled for this ceremony. Based on drawings, more than 50 students were
awarded with various rewards, such as gold coins, bicycles, and stationary
materials.
Elsewhere in this ceremony, Salar Aqili, the
well-known Iranian singer, performed the song of “Vatanam” or “My Country” on
the occasion of World Humanitarian Day. His wife played the musical instrument
for this song. Afterwards, Akbar Eskandarinejad, Director General of Culture
and Islamic Guidance Bureau of Qazvin Province, awarded a portrait to Seyed
Mohammad Mousavi as a humanitarian figure and as an activist of the disabled
rights. This portrait had been illustrated by a Qazvini artist.
In his remarks, Salar Aqili pointed out: “I have
a very nice feeling of being present in the Disability Association of Tavana
and spending a couple of hours in this friendly gathering. I am quite honored
that I have been able to have a share in the area of Iranian music and act as a
servant of the Iranian nation. I accepted to attend this ceremony with an
in-depth love. It is the responsibility of each Iranian citizen and each
Iranian artist to support the disabled people.”
Seyed Mohammad Mousavi, head of the board of
directors of Disability Association of Tavana, too, delivered a speech in this
ceremony and said: “Enhancement of the social spirit and participatory approach
of disabled people are some advantages of organizing top student festivals.”
